Irish novelist John Banville was born in Wexford in Ireland in 1945. His novels include The Book of Evidence, The Sea, The Infinities and Ancient Light. He won The Man Booker Prize in 2005 with his novel The Sea and was nominated for the Man Booker International Prize in 2007. He reviews frequently for the Irish Times, the Guardian and the New York Review of Books.
