A screening of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s La Rabbia (The Rage), together with a panel discussion on the publication of Pasolini's Saint Paul
Presented by A Nos Amours and Gareth Evans, the ICA will be screening a 35mm print of filmmaker and writer Pier Paolo Pasolini’s rarely seen documentary La Rabbia (The Rage) from 1963. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on the recent publication of Pasolini's screenplay Saint Paul, which presents for the first time in English the unfilmed project that would have transposed the biblical Saint Paul to a post World War II Europe and US setting. Futhermore, the screenplay, as well as the introduction and afterword, give a fascinating insight into Pasolini's working process and method.
The panel will consist of Marina Warner, Giles Fraser,Ward Blanton (contributor to Saint Paul and author of A Materialism for the Masses: Saint Paul and the Philosophy of Undying Life), and John David Rhodes (author of Stupendous Miserable City: Pasolini's Rome).More Information
