As part of an ongoing series of literary lunches, hosted by The Oldie, Gyles Brandreth, author of Beautiful & Impossible Things: Selected essays of Oscar Wilde (published by Notting Hill Editions) and author of the forthcoming anthology entitled On Christmas (published by Notting Hill Editions) is in fine company with HRH Princess Michael of Kent and Donald Trelford.

On A Cheetah’s Tale – HRH Princess Michael on her first book to detail aspects of her own life. She describes travelling in Africa in the 1960s and raising a cheetah cub, sparking a lifelong interest.

Shouting in the Street – Newspaper editor Donald Trelford fought off politicians, owners and predators over a quarter-century at the Observer. His new book chronicles these and other journalistic adventures.

On Christmas – Gyles Brandreth: Bah! Humbug! The festive season gets under way early as Gyles joins us to talk about his new book: a collection of the wisest and wittiest essays about the joys and woes of Yuletide.
