David Bellos

David Bellos has translated many works by Georges Perec, Ismail Kadare, Georges Simenon and many others, and is the author of an introduction to translation studies, Is That a Fish in Your Ear?, which has itself been translated into more than a dozen languages. His most recent book is a study of Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables. A new French edition of his authoritative biography of Georges Perec will be published in 2022. He is currently completing a book about the history of copyright to appear in 2023 as Who Owns This Sentence?
