Globetrotting: Upcoming Events with Duncan Minshull

Globetrotting book

Globetrotting: Writers Walk the World is the third and latest anthology that Duncan Minshull – previously senior producer at BBC Radio for twenty-five years and now writer and host of walks-and-talks across the country – has edited for Notting Hill Editions. Bringing together over fifty writer-walkers, these pieces take readers across the streets of London, Rome, Melbourne, Cairo, Kyiv and Kabul; through the frozen wastes of Antarctica; along the pilgrim paths of Japan; into the jungles of Ghana; around the Great Wall of China.

Duncan Minshull and Kim Kremer in discussion, 22nd of May, Stanfords, London

Duncan will be in conversation with NHE managing director, Kim Kremer. We couldn’t ask for a better setting than this world-famous independent map & travel bookshop to dive into Globetrotting, exploring some of the pieces and discussing what travel – especially on foot – means to us. Plus, we will be asking members of the audience about their own walking experiences. Because, if one thing is certain, it is that book lovers often make for the keenest of walkers. Book your place.

‘What are Words Worth?’ – 25th of May, Sedbergh Book Festival Walk-and-Talk Event

Join Duncan for a walk-and-talk event on Saturday 25th May 2024 in Sedbergh. Duncan will read selected excerpts from Globetrotting en route, and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask him questions about the joys and dramas of foot travel, or to share some of your own walking stories too. Book your place.
